Daffodil: “Papa, do you want to be skinny?”

Me: “Um, not exactly.”

Daffodil: “I don’t mean skinny, I mean skinnier. Thinner.”

Me: “Sure.”

Daffodil: “Thin. Not so fat.”

Me: “Yeah, sure.”

Daffodil: “You don’t want to be fat all the time, do you?”

Me: “No, not really.”

Daffodil: “Were you always fat?”

Me: “No. In my youth I was quite thin.”

Daffodil: “Well, maybe you’ll get thin again. You don’t want to be fat all the time.”
