Well, no more than the usual, actually- trying to get Daffodil to finish the dinner she enthusiastically demanded I make (“I LOOOOOOOVE hamburger!”); trying to clean this on-going disaster area; attempting to finish free-lance projects before being swallowed whole by a cubicle at the end of the week; and- oh yes, one more little thing- starting a Monsters And Daffodils page on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/monstersanddaffodils if you want to check it out. Of course, the way to launch a page that connects to your blog is to right away publish something on your blog, right? But various exigencies and the minutiae of resizing, or remaking, headers and profile pictures and reading terms and conditions and what not have used up whatever little corner of my brain is devoted to creative tasks, so you get this.
And… Daffodil has finished her dinner, at least to the point where the remains can be safely passed on to a Great Dane with a notoriously sensitive stomach, and now books must be read (someone seems to have given her a copy of Captain Underpants); and electric pianos must be played:
Daffodil: “Turn around!”
Daffodil is gesturing into the dimly-lit void of the currently-under-construction living room.
Me: “No, don’t go out there, you’ll trip on something.”
Daffodil: “Aaugh! I can never play the piano again!”
Me: “Okay. If that’s what you want. Or you could just ask me to bring it in here.”
Daffodil: “Aaugh! I don’t want it! I don’t want it! Aaugh! I don’t want it! ”
Daffodil: “What was the other choice?”
Please stand by…
